Renny talks about installing Windows Server Update Services on Windows Home Server 2011, using a guide put together by our friends over at WeGotServed. For those of you with multiple PC’s in the home or office, this allows you do download system updates once from Microsoft Update, and also to control how and when updates are deployed to your PCs.
The guys talk about some of the recent changes to Window 8, as well as some of the new hardware like The Ultimate Ultrabook™ coming to the market from companies like Vizio.
Renny tells us about re-purposing an old modem router into a wireless access point to extend his home wireless network to an area with poor coverage from the rest of his network.
Andrew talks about his new phone, another Android phone, the Samsung Galaxy SIII, and the differences between the Samsung and his old HTC Desire, and the features that are an improvement, plus the ones that may or not be useful. Andrew and Jim talk about the Samsung advertisement for the Galaxy SIII.
The guys talk about Microsoft Office 2013 being released to manufacturing. If you have a TechNet or MSDN account, and like testing out new software, check it out.
Andrew introduces us to the Accurate Outlook Duplicates Remover, which is a free utility that identifies and deletes duplicate emails in a PST file.
Jim talks about the Tonido Plug, which is a low powered, Linux based personal cloud device, that holds a 2.5 inch hard disk, and plugs into a power point and network connection. For those who the Tonido Plug is not available, the software is available for download from Tonido, and runs on Windows, Linux and Mac, and has mobile clients for all of the popular devices.

Good show! One thing to note is that Office 2013 won’t be available on TecNet or MSDN until mid November.
