New PC upgrade for the Studios: Intel Core i7 and Windows 8.1 Update

I spent some time over the last several weeks putting in an upgraded PC for the Studio.  I had been running a home build Intel Core i3 530 / 8GB RAM / 120GB SSD that was getting a little long in the tooth for what I was doing with it.  Besides daily use, the studio pc does all the edits, both audio and video for the several podcasts that I do weekly.  A one hour video podcast was taking up to 3 hours to render in 1080p with the older box.  With the new setup, I can render that same file in less than 30 minutes.  A worth while investment.

I also installed Windows 8.1 Update on it.  The more Microsoft changes Windows 8, the more it is looking like Windows 7 again.  It has been working well for me.
