In today’s data-driven environment, every company needs to be aware of the intellectual property it has – and, more importantly, how to protect it. This session will use real-life scenarios to outline how IP protection – including patents – may be used to safeguard a innovations, especially in BI & DA. The presentation will also address how a to protect against the accidental disclosure, loss or theft of intellectual property. The session will cover the issue of employee innovations and how to best secure critical IP rights to those innovations.
Jeff Andersen is a registered patent attorney at Baird Holm with over ten years of experience specializing in intellectual property procurement, protection, licensing and strategy, including preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications in various technology areas. He also provides counsel to clients in developing early stage IP strategy, including planning and managing patent portfolios.
AriAnna Goldstein is an Associate at Baird Holm, practices Intellectual Property, Copyright & Trademark Law, with a focus on patent law. AriAnna earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law, with distinction, in 2013. While in law school, she earned four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. AriAnna is a registered patent attorney.
