QR (Quick Response) Codes–It’s Hip to Be Square!

QR Code

Have you seen one of these before?  They are called QR or Quick Response codes.  While they might be new to you, they are hardly the “newest” thing.  They were developed in Japan back in the middle 90’s to track parts for automobile makers.

So how do you use them?  If you have a cell phone with a camera and the right bar code reading software on the phone (newer Android phones do the trick), you are in business.  Just start the software and point the camera that the code.  Within seconds it will scan the bar code and return the results – in this case it should return the web address for this site.  http://theaverageguy.tv.

The are several places on the web to make one of your own for free.  Here is just a short list.
