The Fitness Tech Podcast #11 Yurbuds and Ironmen!

Jim, freshly off his trip to Las Vegas and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), shares with Jamie all the excellent tech gadgets he came across and even his brush with Ironman fame!

Jim had the opportunity to “run” into Mirinda Carfrae, (@Mirindacarfrae) the 2010 Kona Ironman World Champion and Tim O’Donnell, (@TOinTRI) the 2010 Ironman 70.3 Florida triathlon Champion at the ShowStoppers event on Thursday night, not Wednesday like he said in the podcast.  Both athletes were representing Yurbuds.

Daniel Deville, Business Development Manager for Yurbuds, gave Jim a set to try while he was in Vegas.  A little from their site.

Yurbuds was founded in 2008 by Seth Burgett, President and CEO, an active triathlete and Richard Daniels, Chief Operating Officer, a 22-time marathoner. Burgett and Daniels left their corporate roles and joined forces to improve personal performance. The Company’s mission is to transform the athletes’ experience by providing personalized service and exceptional audio products.

Jim used the Yurbuds while climbing the stairs at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Vegas on Friday Morning and again while doing a 4.5 mile run on the strip on Saturday.  You can see the videos of Jim running the stairs HERE.  The video of the Saturday run will get posted here later this weekend.

Below is a video interview Jim did from the show floor.
