Home Server Show #115

So Dave took a week off and now is back and ready for action!  So is show #115!  Actually, it was just bad luck that Dave’s vacation landed right in the middle of the biggest news period for Windows Home Server this year.  This is a long show and there is plenty to digest.  We have news, forums, the Orlando meetup, and plenty of Drive Extender and HP talk.  Beware though, Dave has a cold and cough and is a bit cranky throughout!  This was a fun episode actually.  As always, the live ustream chat was very helpful and interactive

QR (Quick Response) Codes–It’s Hip to Be Square!

Have you seen one of these before?  They are called QR or Quick Response codes.  While they might be new to you, they are hardly the “newest” thing.  They were developed in Japan back in the middle 90’s to track parts for automobile makers. So how do you use them?  If you have a cell phone with a camera and the right bar code reading software on the phone (newer Android phones do the trick), you are in business.  Just start the software and point the camera that the code.  Within seconds it will scan the bar code and return

Windows Live Essentials 2011 Bing Bar
