Jim’s Building a New WHS – Choosing the Motherboard

As I mentioned in The Home Server Show 82, I am going to ask for your advice (or convincing) on all the parts needed to build a new WHS. Starting with the motherboard and CPU, we will have an open discussion at the HSS forums (http://homeservershow.com/forums).  After a week or two on each part, I will make a decision and we will start with the next component. State Farm 10 Mile / Lincoln NE March 27, 2010

The outdoor running / racing season has begun (at least for me!) here in Nebraska!  Today we traveled down to Lincoln to run the 12th Annual State Farm 1M/5K/10M.  I have to admit, the weather wasn’t all that great.  It rained for most of the morning before the race and the conditions on the trail were very sloppy and wet.  My shoes were destroyed! They announced that they had 1900 runners this year.  I think only 1500 showed due to the rain.  It was still a very well run race. Nice Job guys! 10 miles is kind of an odd

A new iPhone application for all you news and poll junkies is now available.  Gallup (who I work for, full disclosure) has released version 1.0 of it’s soon to be very popular iPhone application that is free to download on iTunes.  The application gives you access to all the latest daily numbers from US polling (like the President’s approval rating), the top news stories from gallup.com as well as the latest Gallup videos via YouTube.
